Apfelstrudel

Apfel ("apple") strudel ("swirl") is a national dish of Austria, handmade with thin layers of pastry enveloping a fragrant and delicious mixture of apples, walnuts, raisins and spices.

Dating back as far as 1697, strudel can be filled with other sweet or savory fillings. However, apple remains the most popular of all. Our handmade strudels are stretched over a sweet filling of local apples from EZ Orchards in Keizer, Oregon. After baking, they are dusted with powdered sugar. 

Please enjoy warm or cold. Baker Caroline highly recommends reheating in the oven (Added plus-your kitchen will smell delicious) and serving with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
